We’ve heard before about how music might help heal the world, but UC Berkeley Psychologist Dacher Keltner says it gets even simpler. More human touch.
Dacher Keltner is a professor of psychology at the University of California, Berkeley and the author of “Born to Be Good: The Science of a Meaningful Life” (Norton, 2009). In this video, Keltner suggests that physical contact is “our richest means of emotional expression” and provides an opportunity for “compassion in action”.
How does human touch affect your yoga practice? If you’re a student, do you enjoy receiving physical adjustments from your teachers? If you’re a teacher, how do you use touch to communicate with your students?
