Colette Evers grew up in the quaint little town of Newnan, GA and took her first yoga class ten years ago while studying ballet education at Brenau University. She decided to go through her 200 hour certification with Peachtree Yoga Center in 2011 when she realized she needed something to calm her emotional mind and ease her discontent with working a corporate 9 - 5. As she delved deeper into her practice, she realized her true calling and passions were being able to give others the sweet serenity she gained through yoga. She will be attempting to break a world record for yoga this year as well as launching her private yoga and personal training company, Gilded Lotus Yoga, in Atlanta, GA. Colette also has quite a following through her blog, www.coletteeversdotcom.wordpress.com, which details her daily attempts to further incorporate yoga philosophy into the ever-changing life of a young yogini in the big city.
